Charlie Bean Salon is proudly owned and run by Selina Bean, a highly experienced hairdresser with over 25 years in the industry. Beginning her career in 1997, Selina has built an impressive portfolio of experience, working in prestigious salons across Queensland and the United Kingdom.

Throughout her career, Selina has achieved a number of professional highlights. She has competed in and won hairdressing competitions, styled hair for Mercedes Fashion Week, and worked extensively on editorial magazine shoots in the UK — including styling for the front cover of The Rutland Times. Selina has also furthered her education internationally, training at the renowned TIGI Academy in London.

While Selina is highly skilled in all aspects of hairdressing, she has a particular passion for event styling and creating beautiful, dimensional blondes. She specialises in a variety of advanced colouring techniques including foiling, babylights, freehand painting, and balayage to achieve customised blonde tones tailored to each client.

A strong believer in maintaining the health and integrity of the hair, Selina focuses on keeping hair in its best possible condition while delivering beautiful results. After working with many product ranges throughout her career, she carefully selected EVO and O&M for Charlie Bean Salon. Both brands are Australian-made and owned, proudly vegan, sulfate and paraben free, and designed to minimise environmental impact. O&M also offers clean colour technology that is free from ammonia, resorcinol, and PPD.

Opening Charlie Bean Salon was a long-held dream for Selina. After many years in the industry, she wanted to create a beautiful, welcoming space where clients could relax, feel pampered, and receive exceptional, personalised service. Recognising a gap in the market for a salon that combines high-quality hairdressing with a calming and thoughtfully designed environment, Selina brought her vision to life.

With its carefully designed interior and relaxed atmosphere, Charlie Bean Salon offers a space where clients can unwind while being looked after by a highly trained and passionate team. Lottie is our talented emerging Stylist who is currently building her career in hairdressing here at Charlie Bean Salon. Originally from country NSW, Lottie made the move to pursue her passion for the industry and begin her professional journey with our team.

Growing up, Lottie spent many years dancing, but it didn’t take long for her to discover that her true passion was hairdressing. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication have made her a valued and integral part of the Charlie Bean Salon team.

Lottie has an incredible drive to learn and continuously improve her skills. She loves helping clients feel confident and beautiful, which shines through in the care she puts into every service. She has a strong interest in edgy haircuts and bold, vibrant colours, and is excited to keep developing these creative skills as she progresses in her training.

Already known in the salon for her fantastic blow-drying skills, Lottie creates smooth, polished finishes that clients love. She also offers beautiful global colours, regrowth coverage, and all-over gloss services.
